Working full time and trying to achieve results isn't easy especially when your day job doesn’t involve horses but it is possible and is exactly what I am trying to achieve!
“Money doesn’t grow on trees!” Is a saying I’m quite used to hearing. So after finishing university and what can only be described as 'the comfort years’ living off the perks of a Student Loan and gaining my Masters degree at Sheffield; I now find myself working away to pay for my royal family members (the horses) and the lifestyle they enjoy.
Challenging myself is extremely important. Eventing in particular is one of the few sports in which an amateur can compete competitively against Olympians, World Champions and even Royalty!
2012 saw personal goals achieved despite the wettest year on record!
But with highs come the lows and 2013 proved to be exactly that! However, these tests make us stronger and without them I'd lack drive, determination and enthusiasm to better myself.
That drive and enthusiasm helped us through 2014. We stepped up a level confidently and really never looked back. We gave back to the sport through volunteering and I even developed my participation in the sport and put pen to paper once or twice for a world wide printed publication
Now in 2015 my drive is even greater, I've made personal goals (although being superstitious I'm not saying them out loud as Horse's are horse's and tend to like breaking plans if they know about them!).
But Thanks to my amazing supporters I truly believe that I can be successful and competitive in the 2015 season.
