Explaining the silence.....

Firstly a huge apology for the white noise coming from this blog recently but things have been happening so fast that unfortunately the blog & events have had to take a back seat.
The main reason has been down to the fact I have a new job. So far I absolutely love it but its weird having a 9-5 Monday to Friday position with EVERY weekend off when your normally used to 14hpur shifts with 1 in every 4 weekends off! Planning pony parties has already proven much easier, especially now I've worked my notice at my previous position - doing  45hours in one job & 40hours in the another one week was hard going let me tell you!
I did however, manage a little bit of fun thanks to the Christmas Competition that I won through Pure Feeds I finally got to visit the mecca that is Badminton for the 1st time! It was an incredible event and the weather was very kind to us, we went for two days but I will certainly plan for more if I ever get the opportunity to go again!
I am incredibly grateful to Louise from Pure Feeds for offering such an amazing prize. We had an amazing course work with Lucinda Green, got to meet the legendary Mr Mulry with that little known-shy  bloke Ben Hobday and a Claire Balding interview in action with EquiFeast's Harry Meade!
Lucinda was exceptional and at the end we had a lovely chat and she introduced us to her daughter Lissa, who again was lovely and is surely going to great things!
On the home front Harley has been feeling far too well, in fact a little like a coiled spring although thanks to Winning Edge he's been containing it (until turnout at least!). We're back out at a party on Saturday so wish us luck especially in the dressage phase as we have to attempt a few new moves!
And to leave this post on a super happy post my Aunty (who owns a breeding stud for national hunt racers) received her 1st foal yesterday , a bay colt which supposedly has "donkey-ears", sadly no pictures yet but lets hope he's a champ!
