So it wasn’t quite a white Christmas but the white stuff has well and truly arrived. Firstly we did manage a dressage outing last weekend, that report will be on Horse Junkies United very soon- and heads up it’s a good one that you really don’t want to miss!
Due to the cold conditions the ponies have been in. Equibright is proving once again to be amazing. Not only soft and dust free. The briquettes ensure a good quality bed is always available, yet reduce waste when mucking out. Its also proved to be a great heat source! Each time we have placed some Equibright around water buckets the water has never froze, despite temperatures reaching -11C! This definitely helps ease the mind on these cold evenings that the horses have an added heat source other than their coats and rugs.
Harley has been enjoying a few hacks in the snow just to ensure he’s getting his legs stretched each day. He’s also continued to enjoy the use of his Horseware Ice Vibe boots before and after each hack. We were very lucky to win a rug a while back when sharing our experiences of using Ice Vibe boots all season and with the current white blanket I thought it was an idea opportunity to take a few snap shots of the model in his fantastic Horseware products (Although he’s been very good in the snow I didn’t dare take him off the lunge when wearing his Ice Vibe boots- they’re just too valuable to us to get damaged if he tried to roll in them!).
